At 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, the Henderson Orchestra Brass Band will perform at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater during a ceremony that presents the names being added to the Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall. The crafters at Heritage Park Senior Facility open an hour later, and a few miles east, golf club fitters will already be on the range at Reflection Bay. That evening the Silver Knights face off at Lee's Family Forum.
Most of the month's free community events, plus a good share of the ticketed ones, land on three Saturdays: Nov. 7, Nov. 21, and Nov. 28. Those days get crowded and the weekdays in between stay fairly quiet. That timing makes the weekdays the best time to try the places that opened this year. Here's how the month fits together.
Saturday, Nov. 7: four events before dinner
This is the busiest single day of the month, and the events are spaced so you can do more than one if you plan your route. All of these are Henderson-area events on Nov. 7:
| Time | Event | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Callaway Performance Fitting | High Performance Golf Institute, 101 Via Vin Santo |
| 10 – 11 a.m. | Veterans Day Ceremony | Water Street Plaza Amphitheater |
| 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Titleist SureFit Fitting Day | High Performance Golf Institute |
| 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Heritage Harvest Festival | Heritage Park Senior Facility, 300 S. Racetrack Road |
| 6 p.m. | Silver Knights vs. San Diego Gulls | Lee's Family Forum |
| 8 p.m. – midnight | Zia | M Bar, M Resort |
The Veterans Day Ceremony comes first in the day, and it's the one to put on your calendar. The city's program includes the names being added to the memorial wall, recognition of veterans' organizations, a presentation of colors, and the brass band. It wraps up at 11, the same hour the Heritage Harvest Festival opens on Racetrack Road. The festival has free entertainment and a craft fair with more than 40 vendors. A $5 wristband covers the extra activities.
Golfers planning a fitting should know that the Callaway and Titleist events at Reflection Bay overlap for four hours. If you've been comparing the two brands, you can try both on the same morning.
The weekend continues Sunday, Nov. 8, with the free Indigenous American Heritage Celebration at Water Street Plaza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It features live music, dance, storytelling, artisan vendors, and food trucks. On Friday, Nov. 6, Valley View Recreation Center at 500 Harris St. hosts a new Glow-in-the-Dark Frisbee Golf night from 6 to 7:30 p.m., with discs, glow gear, and dinner included.
The weekdays in between: try what opened this year
After that first weekend, the calendar quiets down until Nov. 21. Those quieter days are a good time for the three biggest additions to Henderson this year, and at the newest one, a weekday visit costs less.
Henderson Sport & Social
The city's $70 million fieldhouse at 3375 St. Rose Parkway held its ribbon-cutting Oct. 15 and its grand-opening weekend Oct. 16 and 17, according to 96.3 KKLZ. The Las Vegas Sun reported that the two-level, 180,000-square-foot building has 20 bowling lanes, six of them VIP lanes, along with a double-decker laser tag arena, mini golf, an arcade, a fitness center, and a full-service bar. No membership is required.
Prices on the venue's attractions page go up on weekends:
- Mini golf, 18 holes: $12 per person Monday through Thursday, $15 Friday through Sunday and holidays
- Bowling: $45 per lane per hour Monday through Thursday, $55 Friday through Sunday and holidays, plus $5 shoe rental, with up to six people per lane
The city's project page says Henderson residents are eligible for a 20% discount on programming and activities. Picture a Tuesday afternoon round of mini golf with that discount next to a Saturday round without it. The weekday trip costs noticeably less, and you're also skipping the busiest time of the week.
If you'd rather be on a regular team, the venue lists adult leagues in bowling, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and flag football. Pickleball isn't on that list right now. Before you head out, check the venue's own site for hours.
Meril at M Resort
Emeril Lagasse's Meril now has a home at M Resort, 12300 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Eater Vegas describes a menu built on Creole and global influences, served all day. Since it serves all day, a weekday lunch is easy to plan, and the resort's music calendar gives you a reason to come back on a weekend night. M Resort lists Blue Öyster Cult at M Pavilion on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 8 to 11 p.m.
Lester's Deli on Horizon Ridge
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Lester's Deli, a Montreal smoked-meat shop, planned an Aug. 10 debut for its first U.S. location at 1590 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 170. If you live near Sun City Anthem or Anthem Country Club, it's a short drive.
The Review-Journal reported on Oct. 20 that The Delmont, an Italian-American bistro, will take over the former Tuscany Grill space at 11105 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 100.
Midweek regulars at the libraries and The District
Henderson Libraries add some steady weekday events. The Henderson Historical Society meets Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 4 to 5 p.m. at James I. Gibson Library. Tai Chi with Jeanne runs Thursday, Nov. 12, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Paseo Verde Library. The No Pressure Senior Book Club for adults 50+ meets Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Heritage Park Senior Facility Library. At The District at Green Valley Ranch, the calendar shows a farmers market from Nov. 5 through Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The one busy weekday is Friday, Nov. 13. Lee's 23rd Annual Wine Experience runs from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lee's Family Forum and is 21 and over.
Saturday, Nov. 21: from farmers market to tree lighting
The second big Saturday opens and closes at opposite ends of town.
- 9 a.m. to noon: Henderson's free Thanksgiving Market at Pumpkin Park, 405 Drake St., with fresh-produce vendors in time for holiday shopping.
- 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Srixon/Cleveland and TaylorMade fitting events at Reflection Bay's High Performance Golf Institute.
- 5 to 8 p.m.: The District at Green Valley Ranch's Annual Tree Lighting.
- 8 p.m.: Brian Culbertson at the Green Valley Ranch Grand Events Center, doors at 7.
Fitting days come twice this month, Nov. 7 and Nov. 21, both at Reflection Bay. That gives golfers four brands to try across two Saturdays: Callaway and Titleist on the first, Srixon/Cleveland and TaylorMade on the second. If you're planning to buy new clubs before spring, you can compare all four without leaving Henderson.
The tree lighting at The District kicks off the holiday season about a week before Thanksgiving. The District's Giving Machine also runs from Nov. 12 through Jan. 1.
Thanksgiving weekend: two Small Business Saturdays
Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 26. The day after, the Silver Knights play an unusual 1 p.m. home game against the Abbotsford Canucks at Lee's Family Forum. If your out-of-town guests are still around, an afternoon game is easy to fit in.
On Saturday, Nov. 28, Henderson has two Small Business Saturday markets running at once. The city's Shop Small Business Saturday runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Water Street Plaza, with more than 100 local businesses, entertainment, children's activities, treats, and Santa. The Makers Hive Market at The District at Green Valley Ranch runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. They overlap for four hours, so start at Water Street in the morning and finish at The District in the afternoon.
The same day, the Great Migratory Elf Hunt begins at the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, 350 E. Galleria Drive. It's a self-paced scavenger hunt that requires registration, open 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through Dec. 23. The hunt lasts nearly four weeks, so it fits easily into a weekday morning.
What's coming in early December
The city's WinterFest page lists Dec. 3 and 4 for 2026. Watch for the full program on that page as the dates get closer. The Reindeer Dash 5K and 1-Mile Walk follows on Saturday, Dec. 12, starting at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway. Henderson's busy Saturdays carry right on into December.
If a Saturday at Reflection Bay or an afternoon on Water Street has you wondering what it would be like to live closer to the places you visit most, we're glad to talk it through. Dennis and Juliet spend a lot of time on Henderson's golf courses and in its active-adult communities, and that's how we help clients choose a neighborhood. Reach out to Hebert Group and we'll compare notes, whether that's about a move or just about which fitting day to book.
